Church Officers
In a Presbyterian church, both men and women serve in key leadership roles.
We are blessed with a highly-committed leadership team who help to
ensure that our ministry stays true to its mission.
Elders
Elders are the spiritual leaders and policy setters in the
Presbyterian church and, together with the Pastor, they comprise the
Session which governs the church body. Elders serve a 3-year term and
there is a rotation of one-third of the Session each year so that there
are always new members coming on as well as senior members providing
continuity. Current elders.
Deacons
Deacons at NEPC are like the arms and legs of the whole body,
helping get things done in an orderly manner. They put in many long
hours, mostly behind the scenes, ensuring that vital functions are being
carried out. Along with elders, deacons are ordained and serve a 3-year
term on a rotation, providing services in the areas of Grounds and
Maintenance, Fellowship and Sanctuary Services. Current deacons.
